Great Writing: Kurt Streeter – LA Times

June 8th, 2009

I’ve decided to introduce a new feature here at LOP.  As I’m sure most of my readers do as well, I read a lot of stuff besides books.  In my case, I like to read a lot of sports stuff (Joe Posnanski)  and some great blogs (Free Money Finance, Cafe Hayek).  Obviously those things are not really book related, so I don’t get the chance to comment on them here.  So I’ve decided to highlight truly great writing when I see it, no matter the topic.

I already quasi did this once before with a Michael Lewis column and want to continue it with a fantastic column by Kurt Streeter of the LA Times.  This particular column is about the French Open…but it is really more about his relationship with his father.

For those who aspire to be writers…it always helps to see how good it can be when done right.

Read the column here!
