Get Rich Cheating by Jeff Kreisler

Author: Jeff Kreisler
Publisher: Harper (2009)

Do you want a lot of money but don’t have the talent or skill level to obtain it? Apart from playing the lottery (which is a loser’s bet for sure), it seems like the only way to reach your goal is to cheat. At least that’s what Jeff Kreisler says in his tongue-in-cheek book about wealth creation. I’m in!
Get Rich Cheating: The Crooked Path to Easy Street by Jeff Kreisler is a really funny, and really sarcastic, tutorial on how to make money the easy way: illegally! Throughout the book he uses real life examples of cheaters making a lot of money. It is very witty and very biting (at least toward his true targets).
The chapters are broken down into sections on how to cheat. He gives many bits of advice no matter what cheating industry you enter. Obviously politics is the easiest way to cheat because people actually EXPECT to you be a lying cheat! Using performance enhancing drugs is a great way to cheat…and you don’t even need to be in sports for them. There is also strong evidence that exploitation of everyone you meet will gain you historic wealth. I’m a strong supporter of that.
The last section explains what to do if you get caught. The key is to deny everything at all times. And even if you go to prison…you can always start back up again once you get out!
I thought this was a fun book, though it did tend to drag on a bit in the middle. It’s obviously satirical and intended to be read that way. I’m sure some dolts will be offended because they think Kreisler is serious…but I think it’s pretty easy to tell. If you want a book you can just relax and read to laugh every once in a while, this would be a good one for you.
