Netflix

March 8th, 2009

Totally unrelated to books…but my wife and I signed up for Netflix yesterday and it is awesome! We have already watched one movie via the “instant” feature (streamed wirelessly through my computer to my PS3 so we can watch on the TV!). I am excited to get the DVD’s in the mail. We started building our queue and ranking movies…which is super fun.

Are you on Netflix? Do you love it? What do you like about it? Are there book services out there like it?

If you want to be my Netflix friend, send me an e-mail through the contact tab at the top of the blog and we’ll connect!

Yay! Every time someone signs up for Netflix, I get SO EXCITED for them. I LOVE Netflix. I can’t even imagine going to a video store anymore. Seriously, they should pay me for how much I tell people to sign up. =)

Netwhat? Oh the things you young whippersnappers are doing in these times!

I absolutely LOVE Netflix! We switched from Blockbuster Online last year and I’m so glad that we did. Netflix has a much larger selection and they are so fast. The wait times are much shorter, too. Things that were “Very Long Wait” (aka “You’re Not Getting This, EVER”) on Blockbuster are readily available on Netflix.

I don’t belong to Netflix, but I gave it to my brother as a birthday gift and he loves it!
I often consider getting it myself, but then consider if I really have the time to watch movies. Movies…books…movies….books…..?

Netflix has a good thing going. There is an amazingly fast turn around time through the mail. My daughter gave a subscription to my son for Christmas, and he and his girlfriend go through more movies in a month than I have in . . . maybe my life.

It is my favorite thing ever. I signed up the second they invented it because I hate going to the video store more than just about anything.

The “watch instantly” feature is also great. I watch on my computer a lot, especially when I travel for work. But I am going to take it even further by figuring out how to hook my laptop to my tv and watch instantly on the tv screen.
