Book News: This is how to write

February 18th, 2009

This is being tagged under Book News…but that’s kind of a stretch.  I just wanted to point out some fantastic writing.  This happens to be some fantastic sports writing (which I especially like).  The writer is Michael Lewis, who is famous for Moneyball, The Blind Side, and a number of other awesome books.  This article in the NY Times is about Shane Battier, a forward for the Houston Rockets.  The article looks at why Battier is significant to his team, even though he doesn’t really show up in the stats much.

If you are interested in basketball…or stats…or new ways to view things…or even if you like excellent writing…read this.  It really is awesome.
