Book News: Book Sales = Governmental Ability
January 20th, 2009Book Sales = Political/Governmental Ability!
Or at least I would have to assume they do based on Caroline Kennedy. You see…she has sold a ton of books. She has here 8th due to be published this spring. Naturally, a good move from best selling author is a US Senator! My favorite part of the article from The New York Times:
Not all of what Ms. Kennedy offers in her books holds up. Though she wrote in “A Patriot’s Handbook” that “the day when I feel most proud to be an American is not the Fourth of July, but Election Day,” Ms. Kennedy had not voted in about half of the contested elections held since she registered to vote at her current address in Manhattan in 1988.
heh. heh.
Actually…she probably will do as poor a job as the other politicians…so I’m not sure what the big deal is.

I have to agree. Although my opinion doesn’t really matter, since I’m not a New Yorker. From what I can tell, she has done some wonderful charity work, but it seems that someone who is a US Senator should have at least worked at one full time job in his or her lifetime. How can a person who has never had to work know how to solve the problems of the people he or she is representing?
