Title: Know It All
Author: Susan Aldrige, Elizabeth King Humphery & Julie Whitaker
Publisher: Quid Publishing (2008)

Fun Times! Random facts are the greatest!  This is a neat little coffee table book that is good for some short reading.  (WARNING – not an actual coffee table book.  Actual book size is 3″ long) (WARNING – book is not really 3″ long…more like 8″).

The chapters of this book divide everything you could ever want to learn into sections.  For example, there are chapters on Understanding the Universe (including sections on The Milky Way and Comets), Invention & Discovery (Industrial Revolution, Radio & Television), Religion & Thought (background on all the major religions).

This is a really fun book and I am now even smarter than I was before…which I thought would have been impossible.  Who knew?

OK – quiz time.  All of these questions come from the quiz section of the book.  Be the first to answer correctly…and no cheating!!!!!

  1. Who wrote the Principia Mathematica and what country was he from?
  2. At what age did Vincent Van Gogh commit suicide?
  3. Where was the most powerful earthquake ever recorded?
  4. During the American Civil War, on what date did General Robert E. Lee surrender his troops?
  5. Why were the battle scenes in Tolstoy’s War and Peace especially realistic?
  6. The Fibonacci mathematical sequence starts 0,1,1,2,3,5,8…how should it continue?
Remember…no using Google to find the answers!  Let’s see what you’ve got!
