Book News: Authorized Warren Buffet Biography Coming Soon
September 6th, 2008According to Rueters.com, the first ever authorized biography of investing genius Warren Buffett will be released on September 29th. Published by Bantam Dell:
The 976-page book is being written by former Morgan Stanley insurance analyst Alice Schroeder, and is titled “The Snowball: Warren Buffett and the Business of Life.”
I’m pretty excited because Warren Buffett is really awesome. If you want to know how to invest…listen to him (psst…he will tell you to buy index funds). He has had a pretty impressive life, building the biggest fortune in the world…which he is now in the process of giving away. There have been a number of biographies written about him, but none that were authorized. I’m all over this one.
That said…976 pages is REALLY long. That’s longer that medical textbooks [note: I am just assuming this as fact. I have never actually seen a medical textbooks, except maybe on an episode of ER once. I believe they were studying the chapter of how to handle an emergency room when a helicopter has crashed into the hospital while factions of opposing gangs are in a turf war over the cafeteria.

When I first read the headline, I was thinking Jimmy Buffet, so I’m a little bummed.
