I wept reading his descriptions of the Hotel Kaiserhof and the awful abuse and condition in the banquet hall where the prisoners were billeted. The thought that 4 years later I would be having dinner there with my step parents, threw a deep chill over me, to think that such horrors happened so close by and that the frozen, abused, starved people shuffled by my house across the fields, where i played,to their camps. It haunts me, even more so than when I visited Dachau. I shall try to reach Jorgen to express my sentiments to him.
