Title: Postcard History Series
Publisher: Arcadia Publishing

I’m going to do this one a little differently than I normally do. The nice folks at Arcadia Publishing sent me a couple of their books to check out. Arcadia LogoThey aren’t your typical books, so I have decided to do the three Postcard History Series books they sent me as one.

Arcadia Publishing publishes local history books. They have books from all over the country; you can definitely find a book that’s close to where you live. The three I got are Cincinnati’s Great Disasters, Butler County, and Along the Ohio River: Cincinnati to Louisville. Since I live in Cincinnati, these are pretty interesting.

The books are filled with old pictures with explanations captioned. I especially enjoyed Cincinnati’s Great Disasters…the pictures were really neat. It is also fun to see pictures of places you recognize. I’ll spare you the references to local streets that you have never heard of.

So no matter what area of the country you live in, you can check out Arcadia Publishing and find some cool local things to read.

Even better…they make awesome coffee table books with which to impress your friends with how smart and historical and cultured you are. TAKE THAT UNCULTURED FRIENDS!!!
