Recharge In Minutes by Suzanne Zoglio

I saw this title and thought it would be an interesting book to read and review. Probably the thing that attracted me the most was that it was in semi-list format. (I love lists!) Recharge In Minutes: The Quick-Lift Way to Less Stress, More Success, & Renewed Energy! by Dr. Suzanne Zoglio is an easy to read book with 101 ways to “rev up your focus, confidence & energy”.
Normally, this type of book is not my style because I’m not a high stressed person, but I really enjoyed this one. Each item is less than one page long and has some nice advice. My favorite was “Put Your Money Where Your Heart Is”, which basically tells you to donate to charity. Here are a couple more:
- Find Your Muse In Nature
- Celebrate Achievements
- Laugh, Laugh, and then Laugh Again
There are 101 of suggestions like these.
The only problem I had was that Zoglio seems to regularly reccomend canceling engagements you’ve made to help other people in order to avoid over stressing yourself. I agree you don’t want to take on too much…but I don’t think you should be canceling promises you made to other people. Maybe just don’t say yes the next time.
Otherwise, I enjoyed this book. It was fun and easy to read and has some pretty good tips for “recharging.” I now feel pretty energized!

I agree…we shouldn’t over commit to things. We should definitely commit to people and things that are in our “gifted sweet spot”. We should keep some “margin” in our lives so we can handle the stressed times.
Hey, maybe I should write a book!
